“This tour was great. We were looking forward to Delft a lot and didn’t quite know what to expect from Rotterdam. In the end both cities were amazing. Our guide was also fabulous and very knowledgeable. She picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back off again afterwards. Thanks for this beautiful sunny day.”

“Joris (aka George) was a wonderful guide!!. He was personable and knowledgeable of the area. We loved everything. There was so much to see just not enough time in a day to do everything. Easter weekend a very busy time. Time and long line didn't allow us to go into Cube House but it was very interesting. All in all a wonderful trip and would recommend.”

“We have done this tasting tour in August. It was the first time that they had organized it, but the experience was superb. Great food and drinks, beautiful locations and a fun and engaging guide. Thanks and good luck!”

Frequently asked questions

Food tour or Walking Dinner, which should we book?

This tour is a private walking tasting tour: six bite-sized stops for two or three people or a small group, priced per group plus per person. The Walking Dinner is a full sit-down, 3-course evening across three restaurants, priced per person and built for larger groups (5 to 80 people). Choose the food tour for a shorter, lighter, more casual taste of Delft, and Walking Dinner for a proper evening out.

How does this compare to Highlights of Delft or the Audio tour?

Highlights of Delft is a history-focused private walking tour with no tastings included. The Audio tour of Delft covers similar ground self-guided, without a live guide or any food. Choose this tour if tasting real Dutch food and drink, with a private guide, is what you are after.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Yes. Let us know about any dietary restriction or allergy in advance, when you book or by contacting us directly, and we will arrange tasty alternatives.

Can I choose a different meeting point?

Yes, as long as it is within the city center. Add your preferred meeting point as a comment when you book, or contact us directly.

In which languages is this available?

The tour is available in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

How do I book, and how do I pay?

Book online for instant confirmation, paying securely with Google Pay, credit or debit card, Sofort, iDeal or Bancontact. If you would prefer an invoice, contact us directly at info@discover-delft.com.

Can I be picked up and dropped off in another city?

Yes, within roughly 100 km of Delft (Amsterdam included). Add this to your booking, or book it separately. For longer distances, contact us for a quote.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Delft’s historic centre has cobblestones, narrow pavements and a few steps at certain stops, so it is not fully wheelchair accessible the way a modern building would be. Tell us about any mobility needs when you book, and your guide will plan the route and pace around them as much as the city allows.

Is the tour suitable for children?

Yes. Every tour is private, so your guide can adjust the pace, the stories and the length to suit children in your group. Just mention their ages when you book.

Can I bring my dog on the tour?

Let us know when you book if you’d like to bring a dog along, and we’ll confirm what’s possible for that particular tour.

How will I recognize my guide at the meeting point?

About a week before your tour, we’ll send you a reminder email with your guide’s name and phone number, along with the meeting point and time. If you don’t spot each other right away, just call or message them.

Do you take large or school groups?

Yes. For larger groups we split you across multiple guides rather than combining you with strangers or putting everyone on one bus, so it stays personal and everyone can still hear and ask questions. Tell us your group size and we’ll arrange it.
