Step back in time and experience Delft in a way you have never imagined. During this interactive, theatrical afternoon, the city's most legendary figures come to life to guide your group through their world. Meet William of Orange, the Father of the Fatherland, as he shares his vision and dramatic fate. Walk alongside the mysterious Girl with a Pearl Earring, and hear the untold stories behind Vermeer's most famous work. Or debate law and legacy with Hugo Grotius, the brilliant mind who changed the course of international justice.

As you journey through the city with these historical hosts, you visit both well-known sights and hidden corners, entering churches and monuments that shaped Delft's rich history. Halfway through, the group pauses for a light meal at a historic location that matches the tone of the day. For a bit of extra flavor, add a local beer tasting after the tour for €20 per person.

“Did a city walk through Delft with a group of colleagues, guided by Robin. Robin tells a story very well, with a good dose of humour. My colleagues thought it was a great success too. Definitely recommended.”

“Robin is a wonderful guide! This young man is respectful, polite and very very knowledgeable. He knows the history of the whole area; grew up in the area! Almost felt like we were in a tour with an adult grandson!! Has a sly sense of humor and really fun. This tour is so worth it. You cover a lot of ground, so get your walking shoes ready! 5 stars for this one!!”

Who are the historical characters?

Your group is guided by Delft’s own legends in character, including William of Orange (the Father of the Fatherland), the Girl with a Pearl Earring, and Hugo Grotius, each sharing their own story and view of the city.
